South China Normal University (SCNU)

Founded in 1933, South China Normal University (SCNU) is a prestigious university in Guangdong Province and a member of “Project 211.” It is a comprehensive university and particularly strong in Teacher-training, Pedagogy, and Psychology.

1+1(+1) Double Master's Programme

Registered Master's programme students studying on specific programmes SCNU, and with an appropriate academic background, can choose to study one of the following full one-year Master's programmes at Lancaster in their second year:

MA Applied Linguistics and TESOL
MA Discourse Studies
MA English Literary Studies
MA History
MA Language and Linguistics
MA Translation

Students who succesfully complete the programme will graduate with two Master's degrees; one from Lancaster and one from SCNU.

Study Abroad Programme

SCNU undergraduate students from any degree programme can also choose to Study Abroad for up to one year at Lancaster.
