Admission to this programme is through SJTU. Students spend one semester (September to December) in Lancaster during the normal duration of the first year of the SJTU degree programme. The remainder of the Lancaster courses are taught in Shanghai by SJTU staff. There is a shared dissertation.
The aim of the MA is to provide professionally relevant and practically oriented training in Applied Linguistics. The programme provides a balance between practice-led, theory-led and research-led learning opportunities.
