Increasingly, novel technologies such as informatics, sensor networks, imaging techniques and pollution remediation technologies are impacting the way we view and manage the environment. This scheme explores these issues and offers you a broad range of options allowing you to choose your area of focus.
The scheme has a broad choice of modules and will provide you with training in a range of topics within the general field of environmental science. The emphasis of the scheme will be on the chemical and physical processes that occur in the natural environment and how these processes are modified by man.
The course provides an opportunity for postgraduate learning and professional development for those who are unable to commit to a full MSc programme. It can be taken as an intensive course over one or two terms, or could be spread over two years for those studying part-time. The award of a PgCert requires the successful completion of four 15 credit modules, selected from the modules available on the MSc Environmental Science and Technology.
