This programme is specifically designed for graduates who want to prepare for doctoral study either by integrating creative practice with theoretical or historical work, or by focusing on traditional theoretical research.
One third of your work will be taught modules, and two thirds will explore a continuous overarching research project. Students will undertake three taught modules and there are two compulsory modules: Research Methods and Critical Thinking., Students will normally take Contemporary Issues in the Arts or an alternative module from those available in LICA in the second term of study.
You will have strong supervisor support throughout the course and will be involved in regular group seminars during the first two academic terms.

Entry Requirements: An upper second class honours degree, or its equivalent, in a relevant discipline.
IELTS: 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in each element) or equivalent.
Assessment: Coursework, presentation, thesis and/or artwork or event.
