What Will You Study

The duration of this part-time course is flexible as it is offered on a modular basis. It is suitable for professionals in health care contexts with the scope to influence practice and/or policy within their own organisation as well as developing their own professional practice. Healthcare organisations are subject to constant and continuous change. The aim of this course is to enhance your understanding of change concepts and models and to increase your ability to apply this knowledge to real work issues.

Progression routes to Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Degree are available via the Professional Practice route. The Postgraduate Certificate course includes six modules:

  • Personal Learning and Development
  • Analysing Drivers for Change
  • Evaluating Change 
  • Models for Planning Change and Improvement
  • Leading Others through Change

Plus one optional module.

Students may also make a claim (APL) to gain credits to exempt them from some modules by undertaking the module Recognition and accreditation of Prior Learning (RAPL).

Progression routes to Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Degree are available via the Professional Practice route. You will benefit if you have sufficient scope and access to resources to undertake projects which will have an impact on your own and others’ professional practice as well as on organisational practices.
