Your Global Exploration

Exploration (n.) the action of exploring an unfamiliar area; thorough examination of a subject

Explore the world, expand your academic horizons and enrich your personal story with your academic department, other students and the Students' Union. At Lancaster we're global and that's one of the reasons why we are one of the top places to live and learn. You can link your course with Lancaster's worldwide partnerships to create exciting travel opportunities and broaden your subject knowledge during the Easter vacation. This is your opportunity to enhance your academic experience with other students and explore the world!

What: Discover your academic subject overseas through 'Your Global Exploration'. You can immerse yourself in another culture, explore how your subject is applied in other countries and gain personal advantage for your career. The trips are arranged via departments and the Students' Union as part of your first year of study. In 2015, students from the Management School, the Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion and the Department of Psychology took part. New departments are being added all the time, so keep any eye out for all exciting developments.

Where: Cities around the world where Lancaster has links, including New York, Boston and Kuala Lumpur. We are adding new destinations all the time!

When: Travel will take place for up to ten days at the beginning of the Easter vacation.

Why: A great reason why Lancaster is one of the best places to learn are the global opportunities supported by the University. The cost of the programme is subsidised, making it accessible and attainable to all students.

International experience not only enhances your student experience whilst at university, but also increases your employability.
