Why did you choose Lancaster University?
I chose Lancaster University as my first and insurance choice because I fell in love with the campus as soon as I arrived. Out of all the universities I visited, Lancaster definitely made the best impression on me, and no other university offered my course. I’m originally from a crowded, busy city, and I thought that living in Lancaster would be a nice contrast.
What do you feel is the best aspect of studying at Lancaster University?
The relaxed environment and picturesque surroundings make it much easier to study. Also, lecturers and other students are approachable, friendly, and helpful. Not only is it an enjoyable place to study, but it’s officially one of the best universities in the country.
What’s best about the social life at Lancaster?
There are people from all over the country and the world studying at Lancaster. It’s nice to find out about other cultures, not by sitting in a classroom, but by talking to different people, taking part in events they organise, and celebrating festivals with them. Living on campus means that none of your uni friends are far away, so it’s easy to go and see them.
What have you enjoyed most about being at Lancaster?
In my first year, I really enjoyed living in a flat with other people. We got to know each other quickly and became friends almost straight away. We did annoy each other sometimes, but that’s life, and most of my memories are happy ones. I have made a lot of close friends here and I enjoy my course. That’s how uni should be.

Time flies. Make the most of it here! If you do, it will probably be one of the best experiences of your life.
