Why did you choose Lancaster University?

I chose Lancaster University because of the friendly atmosphere I experienced as soon as I set foot onto campus and because the campus provides everything you could need in a secure student based environment.

What do you feel is the best aspect of studying at Lancaster University?

The best aspect of life at Lancaster is the approachability of the lecturers. From day one I’ve felt at ease asking any questions about my course. Learning-wise I have found seminars the most useful, as most people are always up for a good debate.

What’s best about the social life at Lancaster?

The bars on campus – and for first years the flats work really well at providing a communal place for a small number of students to mingle and really become friends.

How does Lancaster University provide you with support, advice and guidance?

Emails from and meetings with lecturers. LUVLE is also a really good tool for accessing reading lists.

What advice would you give to students considering studying at Lancaster University?

I honestly never believed in my own ability to get into Lancaster, and it was the nicest surprise ever when I got the confirmation form UCAS, so really I suppose my advice would be don’t worry about it and keep enjoying your work - that’s the best way to get the best marks.
