 on your course, in your college, through campus life and worldwide travel.

Here are 10 ways of enjoying and sharing your Global Experiences Week:

  • Share Your #LUGlobal Experience to win £20 Amazon voucher
  • Join in the all-week events with the Students' Union and in your college 
  • Make the perfect start to the week with a free taster session led by the Confucius Institute's Robert Luo. 
  • Enjoy the Global Café and entertainment in Alexandra Square (Wednesday & Thursday 11.30am - 2.30pm)
  • Discover vacation travel and study abroad opportunities in the Minor Hall (Wednesday 12.00pm - 3.00pm)
  • Complete the online Intercultural Competency training (5 Lancaster Award points)
  • Attend the careers workshop: Enhancing Your Global Skills 
  • Learn a language
  • Eat in on campus, cook and share your recipes
  • Come to the Staff Brunch to share your perspective of what it is to live, work and study at Lancaster and further connect with students and colleagues

Share Your #LUGlobal Experience to win £20 Amazon voucher:

As part of Global Experiences Week students and staff are invited to share their photos and experiences for a chance to win a £20 Amazon voucher.

The idea is to celebrate all that is global about life at Lancaster University.  You have three ways to get involved by 5pm 30 November 2017.

You may submit pictures and accompanying stories of your global experience and life at Lancaster or abroad in connection with Lancaster on one or more of these channels: Facebook, Instagram, and/or Web, provided that the pictures are different.

The themes could include excitement, challenges, surprises and hopes with regard to your global experience and life.

Global Experiences Week will be officially launched by the Vice-Chancellor and the LU Students' Union with their signing of the UUK mobility pledge on Friday 10th November.  It coincides with International Education Week, aims to connect students and staff with the benefits of Lancaster being a global place to live, study and work. It is an opportunity to share Your Global Experience on campus and/or abroad in connection with Lancaster.
