Sir Christian Bonington officially re-opening Fylde Bar in October 2008.

The official name of the College Bar is ‘The Windmill’  

Dave Orr is in charge of running the bar and Fylde students are employed to do all the work! So if you fancy working behind the bar, drop in one lunchtime and leave your name and contact number.

 We have a constantly changing line up of cask ales and probably the widest selection of non-alcoholic drinks (for those recovery days) on campus so there’s something for everyone. As from March 2009 there is a small food and coffee outlet in the bar as well. The profits from the bar help finance social, tutorial and other College activities, so even the non-imbibers amongst you benefit from using the bar.

 And remember, if you drink sensibly it won’t hurt too much the following morning and you’ll remember what you did. Your friends gleefully telling you what an idiot you made of yourself is more fun for them than you.
