Lancaster University Foundation Programme at Olashore International School,Nigeria

Lancaster University is pleased to announce that a Foundation Programme has been established at Olashore for those students wishing to continue their studies at undergraduate level at one of the top universities in the UK
Course content
The one-year Foundation Programme has been specifically designed to prepare students for undergraduate study at Lancaster or other UK university. The course provides training in academic and study skills, a comprehensive introduction to computer skills and an introduction to contemporary British Culture. Students' subject content knowledge is maintained and enhanced through the provision of a choice of one of three subject pathways: Business & Management;Science & Computing and Library and Social Studies. the programme also includes a pre-sessional four-week Study Skills Course at Lancaster in September before the academic term begins.
Admission to Lancaster University
Applications are made through UCAS for any subject area at Lancaster. At the end of the course of study at Olashore, if students meet the following conditions then they will be admitted to Lancaster University firstly on to the Study Skills course and then in to the department of their choice:
- Complete all the components of the Foundation Programme with an overall level of pass. An overall Merit or Distiction level is required for some departments including the Management School
- Pass an admissions interview conducted by a memeber of staff from Lancaster University.
- Students whose dominant language is not English will be required to take the IELTS test and to achieve a level of 6 (or 6.5 for specified degree programmes).
