How To Apply

Undergraduate studies

In order to begin undergraduate studies at Lancaster you need to apply through a central body called the University and College Admissions Service (UCAS).

Applications should ideally be made between September and March. Once you have submitted your application, UCAS will then forward it to Lancaster and any other UK universities you have selected. You will then be contacted by each university with a decision on whether or not you will be offered a place.

Postgraduate studies

Applications to do postgraduate studies at Lancaster, both taught and research, should be made directly to the university.

For most courses starting at the beginning of the academic year (October) you can apply at any time from October of the previous year to July of the year the course begins. However, you are advised to bear in mind that some popular programmes may be full by May/June and early applications are encouraged.
