Our free 'iLancaster' app will be an essential companion during your time at Lancaster
In the build up to Welcome Week, iLancaster will contain handy tools for new students including a 'Prepare for Lancaster' checklist of things you need to do, a 'Welcome Guide' version of this website, and a Welcome Week schedule that you can personalise.
To get access to the full set of services you'll want as a Lancaster student (including your personal course timetable, and an attendance check-in feature for undergraduates to automatically record your attendance at teaching sessions), log in with your University Account username and password then make sure you select the ‘Student/Staff User’ profile.
If you’ve already been using iLancaster (eg you’re currently using the ‘Visiting Lancaster' or 'Future Student' profile) you'll have to log out of iLancaster, then log back in with your University Account username and password and select the ‘Student/Staff User’ profile.
You’ll have your University Account username and password once you've done the online stage of registration.
Here are three big reasons to use iLancaster:
1. To upload your University Card photo
Please use iLancaster to upload a passport-style photograph of yourself. This photo will be used on your University Card, which will provide proof that you are a Lancaster University student. To do this, open iLancaster and click on the ‘University Photo Upload’ tile and follow the instructions. You’ll be able to see the University Photo Upload tile using the ‘Student/Staff User’ or ‘Future Student’ profile.
2. To see your personal course timetable
You’ll be able to see your course timetable once you’ve completed the online stage of Registration and set up your University Account, and have selected the ‘Staff/Student User’ profile in iLancaster.
3. To register your attendance at teaching sessions
The University records students' attendance at compulsory teaching sessions - iLancaster will check you in automatically to record your attendance. You’ll be able to see the Attendance Check-in tile once you’ve completed the online stage of Registration and set up your University Account, and have selected the ‘Staff/Student User’ profile in iLancaster.
