Gone are the stereotypes of yesteryear and in their place is a new set of criteria to encourage staff from a breadth of backgrounds and aspirations to move up at Lancaster.
Updates to the promotions criteria that are in place for this year’s promotions round include:
- Development of the research domain so that it includes more on interdisciplinary research, research leadership, and impact.
- Explicit consideration is given to the effect of career gaps and part-time working.
- Senior Research Fellow and Senior Teaching Fellows have been brought into the remit of the Promotions Criteria.
- The range of descriptors for each of the criteria is now broader.
