The webinar will also feature two discussants Dr Mimi Sheller<\/strong> and Dr Monika Buscher.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stephanie is a Lecturer in Climate Change and Health at the University of \u00a0Manchester and he research focuses on\u00a0vital mobilities<\/a><\/strong> — how goods, such as blood, saline IV solution, and oxygen move from the point manufacture to the point of care, and how such\u00a0 supply chains can be made more resilient in a changing climate. In her book, Stephanie uses two Atlantic Canadian case studies as a springboard, and contributes to pressing cultural and policy discussions about community resilience by imagining human mobility that works with, rather than against, the climate in ways that benefit local communities.
\nFocusing on community advocates, policy makers, and academics,<\/strong>\u00a0 Stephanie calls for a transformative approach to mobility and offer five recommendations:\u00a0 revolutionising mobility, prioritizing vital mobilties,embracing green and blue, rebranding redundancy, and thinking flex.<\/p>\n

Our discussants Dr Mimi Sheller and Dr Monika Buscher are both esteemed members of the mobilities research community. Dr Mimi Sheller is the\u00a0Dean of The Global School at the\u00a0Worcester Polytechnic in the US and was founding co-editor of the journal\u00a0Mobilities, <\/em>founding co-director of the Centre for Mobilities at Lancaster University. Dr Monika Buscher is\u00a0Professor of Sociology, Director of Research for the Department of Sociology, and Director of the Centre for Mobilities Research at Lancaster University.<\/p>\n

This webinar will feature a talk from Stephanie, followed by feedback and comments from our discussants in the first hour, and then there will be time for questions and discussion from our audience in the last section of the webinar.<\/p>\n
