Cemore welcomes applications from well-qualified applicants to undertake doctoral study\u00a0in the area of ‘mobilities research’. <\/span><\/p>\n

You would be based in\u00a0Sociology<\/a>, or one of the other departments where staff are based, including\u00a0Lancaster\u2019s Institute for Contemporary Art<\/a>, the\u00a0Management School<\/a>,\u00a0Lancaster\u00a0Environment Centre<\/a>,\u00a0English and Creative Writing<\/a>, the\u00a0Institute for Social Futures<\/a>\u00a0and more widely across the university.<\/p>\n

You would normally be supervised by 1 or 2 academic staff attached to the Centre, while registered either in Sociology or in the department where your main supervisor is based. Through your department and Cemore you become part of a vibrant postgraduate culture and able\u00a0to participate in the various taught courses, seminars, workshops and events.<\/p>\n

We also always welcome\u00a0Visiting PhD students<\/strong>. If you are\u00a0undertaking a doctorate elsewhere and would like to\u00a0spend a period of time in Cemore, please contact\u00a0Monika\u00a0B\u00fcscher<\/a>.<\/p>\n
