CWD Director Professor Marco Wyss spent April 2023 as a Visiting Professor at Sciences Po Aix, which is one of France’s prestigious Institutes of Political Studies and thus a Grande Ecole.

In addition to teaching about the history of French foreign policy to undergraduate students, Professor Wyss also had discussions for an exchange agreement between Sciences Po Aix and Lancaster University, as well as the potential for a future teaching partnership.

To conclude his stay in Aix-en-Provence, he gave a lecture on his book Postcolonial Security: Britain, France, and West Africa’s Cold War to MA and PhD students, as well as colleagues from Sciences Po Aix.
