Launching BNClab!

We are very happy to announce launching of the BNClab platform along with the first batch of A-level English Language teaching materials – both student worksheets and a series of teacher notes for each worksheet. The student worksheets can be downloaded directly from BNClab, the Teacher notes require a password for access. To receive the password, please email either Dana Gablasova (d.gablasova@lancaster.ac.uk) or Vaclav Brezina (v.brezina@lancaster.ac.uk). More teaching materials coming soon!

First batch of A-level teaching materials is now out

The BNClab website now contains the first batch of teaching materials – both student worksheets and teacher notes for each of these worksheets. The worksheets explore the role played in current spoken British English by various social factors such as gender, region and age of the speakers. The worksheets contain hands-on exercises that involve students searching the corpus for the data, discussions and ‘research bites’ that provide additional information about research findings on the topic.
