{"id":787,"date":"2016-03-23T12:11:03","date_gmt":"2016-03-23T12:11:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/cuidar\/?p=787"},"modified":"2016-10-11T12:02:35","modified_gmt":"2016-10-11T12:02:35","slug":"children-and-flooding-pt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/cuidar\/2016\/03\/23\/children-and-flooding-pt\/","title":{"rendered":"Children and flooding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As severe floods hit the North West of England last weekend a Lancaster University research team, led by Professor Maggie Mort (Sociology), called for the Government\u00a0to take notice of how flooding affects children.<\/p>\n<p>Working with school children hit\u00a0by severe flooding two years ago both on Humberside and Thames Valley, the ESRC project, partnered by Save The Children, has produced Children&#8217;s Flood Manifestos advising Government and major agencies on action needed before, during and after floods.
