Survey completion

During your time at Lancaster University, you will be invited to take part in a range of surveys. Here are some of the major opportunities.

For final year undergraduates

The National Student Survey (NSS) is a major study that is run every year at institutions across the country. Results help prospective students select their institutions and universities improve the learning experience. Each year the survey opens near the start of the Lent term and closes at the end of April.

For postgraduate students

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) and the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) both help the University improve what it offers to postgraduate students.

And don’t forget...

We also run a range of internal surveys, on topics such as communications, technology and careers. You are likely to see invites promoted within weekly student newsletter My Lancaster, on the web and on the Student Portal. As well as giving you the opportunity to share your views, they often come with prize draw incentives.
