Research Vacancies

Research Associate (3 years post): Adaptive Brokerage for the Cloud - closing date Monday 4th December 2017

A 3-year post-doctoral Research Associate post is available, linked to the EPSRC-funded “Adaptive Brokerage for the Cloud (ABC)” project, a collaboration between Lancaster University and the University of St Andrews. The post is full-time, is available for a start on 2-Jan-2018, and will end on 31-Dec-2020.

An exciting opportunity exists for a researcher to develop online changepoint algorithms for a digital health application in a collaborative research project between Lancaster University and a commercial partner. PhD Studentships

PhD Studentship in Extracting 3D Objects from Point Clouds - open until filled

A fully funded 3 year PhD Studentship is available to work on the automatic generation of 3D objects from point clouds.  The aim of the project is to research, design and implement a solution for the automatic extraction of 3D objects with application testing in several use cases. The developed system will identify objects, label them and position them in an inter-operable database as isolated object entities that can be handled in 3D by an operator
