In August, the Many Worlds Film Club will be showing the award-winning documentary about the 1984-1985 UK miners' strike 'Still the Enemy Within'. The screening will be followed by discussion about ongoing struggles for justice with Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign and Women Against Pit Closures.

23 August 2022 7pm: screening of the award-winning 2014 documentary Still the Enemy Within, which recounts the UK miners’ strike through the voices of the miners and activists themselves.

Still the Enemy Within is a unique insight into one of history’s most dramatic events: the 1984-85 British Miners’ Strike. No experts. No politicians. This is the raw first-hand experience of those who lived through Britain’s longest strike: follow the highs and lows of that life-changing year.

This screening is free, and will be followed by a live discussion about the ongoing struggle for justice against illegal policing during the miners’ strike, with the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign and Women Against Pit Closures.
