Creative Writing

We warmly welcome you to the subject of Creative Writing.  You will be joining a vibrant and lively community of readers and writers, learning your craft from experienced  practising authors and sharing your ideas through critique of your work and others.

You will be taught to write in a range of forms and learn what kind of writer you wish to become. You will have the chance to have your writing published in the Departmental magazine, CAKE and to participate in the Festival of Writing in the summer term. You will be given advice on where and how to publish your work and hear from a range of writers including the poet Paul Muldoon and the graphic novelist Benoit Peeters who are visiting professors in the department.
