Zoe Gilbert is the author of Folk (Bloomsbury, 2018), which was shortlisted for the 2019 International Dylan Thomas Prize. Her short stories have won prizes including the Costa Short Story Award, and have appeared in many journals and anthologies, as well as on BBC Radio 4. She has travelled to China and South Korea on writing projects for the British Council, and is completing a PhD exploring folk tales new short fiction. She is the co-director of London Lit Lab, and also teaches creative writing at Arvon Foundation and the British Library. She lives near the sea in Kent.
