There is ample opportunity throughout the year to visit us. Come and experience the University and Department to find out why our students love the University and our courses.
Summer Open Days
The University organises four Summer Open Days a year. These days are designed to give prospective students information about studying at the University and in the Department of English Literature and Creative Writing. The day will consist of talks about general subjects such as finance and accommodation. Activities are organised by the student union and there are campus tours throughout the day. There is also a chance to meet the department’s recruitment team and attend our subject talks.
2019 Dates: Saturday, 29th June, Saturday, 13th July, Saturday, 7th September and Saturday, 14th September.
Applicant Visit Days
If you’ve applied for a course in English Literature and Creative Writing you will be invited to an Applicant Visit Day. These days are more in-depth than an open day, giving prospective students an insight into what it’s like to study English and Creative Writing at Lancaster.
As soon as you have been made an offer you will be able to book your place for an Applicant Visit Day via the iLancaster app. For more information about Applicant Visit Days email email@example.com.
2020 Dates: Saturday, 25th January; Saturday, 15th February; Saturday, 29th February; and Saturday, 14th March.
As part of our unconditional offer scheme we may invite you to an interview day. These interview days are a chance for us to meet you and assess whether an unconditional offer is appropriate. It also gives you the chance to meet us on a more personal level and to decide if Lancaster could be your firm choice.
The interview day includes an opportunity for a campus tour and gives you the chance to experience the kind of teaching you could expect as an undergraduate. For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The department holds taster days and events throughout the year. These are designed for prospective students to attend to get a flavour of the subject at higher education. If you are interested in future taster day events please email email@example.com.
If you can’t make it for an open day don’t worry there are other options available. Campus Tours and Campus Tours Extra are available throughout the year. These are guided tours of campus and with the ‘extra’ session where you get to meet staff and students from the department.
