PG Rise 2017

Why you should apply to PG Rise 2017…

PG Rise is a multi-disciplinary team-based research challenge for postgraduate researchers. The programme will involve exploring the market viability of world-leading research projects developed here at Lancaster University.

The programme will enable you to:

  • Develop your research skills
  • Enhance your employability
  • Work with world leading academics
  • Engage with real world projects
  • Build an invaluable network of contacts

…and that’s just to name a few! You’ll also be given a £500 research budget per team to complete the task!

If you still need some convincing, here are some comments made by some of last year’s participants:

‘Thank you for this programme, I learnt a lot’

Laura (PhD Student)

‘PG Rise was a good project and I made some good friends on it and saw some amazing young talent.’

Bryce (PhD Student)

‘It was so fun I didn’t want it to stop. I was enlightened on various processes and resources which form the antecedents to successfully commercializing a patented product or process. The research proved helpful because it provides an insight into development and modes of entry into possible markets. Also, I have formed and nurtured strong interpersonal relationships with my teammates, some of which have become my friends’

Victory

‘It has been an eye-opener of how I would move into the private sector within my industry. I found the skills really useful and I was happy to work with my team who were fantastic.’

Bruce
