Join Filip Szczypinski from Durham University for a talk on digital supramolecular chemistry. Also available on Teams.
Nature's most advanced machinery, from enzymes to ribosomes, relies on the precise self-assembly of multiple components, where complex function emerges from a balance of dynamic covalent and non-covalent interactions. Synthetic chemistry has struggled to engineer such systems, as the fundamental design rules governing molecular recognition and self-organisation remain largely unknown. We work at the interface of supramolecular chemistry, physical organic chemistry, and data science. Our aim is to build predictive, data-rich workflows that allow us to design, make, and understand functional supramolecular systems more efficiently.
This hybrid seminar takes place in Cavendish Colloquium Room (Faraday Complex) and via Teams – join here
