Experimental Particle Physics webinar
Abstract: Magnetic monopoles are strongly favoured theoretically but have never been detected. I describe their behaviour in the Galactic magnetic field and how this magnetic field shields us from them so that they are undetectable in cosmic rays. I then study another possible candidate for the Dark Matter in the Universe, namely, quark nuggets.
