Knowing your personal values is like having an internal guidance system that shines a light on what's really important to you. Your values can guide you in the decisions you make, what you stand for, and who you want to be.

Knowing your personal values is like having an internal guidance system that shines a light on what's really important to you. Your values can guide you in the decisions you make, what you stand for, and who you want to be.

Your values are based on what really matters to you; they make you who you are. It’s not always easy to name what you value. This session aims to give you the courage and clarity to explore and capture your most important values. You can look at which mean the most to you, and reflect on how well you are living them each day.

Whether you’re a student, staff or a start up and wherever you are in your personal development journey, this session will help you to uncover new opportunities to lean further into things you really care about, to dig deeper into who you are, what you might do in the future, or how you might communicate your ideas out in the world. This exploratory session may contribute to develop and build on:

  • Valuing Ideas - Judge what value is to you in social, cultural and economic terms?
  • Vision - Visualise future scenarios to help guide effort and action.
  • Self-awareness and Self-efficacy - Reflect on your needs, aspirations and wants in the short, medium and long term.
  • Learning through Experience -Learn with others, including peers and mentors. If you are external to the University, you are welcome to this event but please contact us using the email below before attending.
