Explore brand new worlds. Right here.

With more than 80 activities taking place on Community Day, there really is something for everyone. Whatever your age or interests, there will be plenty to see and do.Follow the links for information about each of the activities taking place on the day.

Science fans can explore our astronomy tent, use real CSI techniques to find out why their fingerprints are unique or find out more about the fun side of ecology. Explore more Amazing Science here.

If you're interested in health and medicine, we have a host of activities for you, including information about our Defying Dementia campaign and a look at some of the gadgets helping people to stay independent. You can also find out more about mental health support, natural healthcare and take part in activities and food tasting at the Sports Centre. Take a look at our Health, Medicine and Wellbeing activities.

There will be plenty of creative and cultural activities too - try a creative writing workshop, practice sketching, watch a live performance or try your hand at translation. See The Arts for more details.

If you enjoy looking back at History and Heritage, call in and find out why postcards were the social media of the Edwardian age or meet one of the archaeologists behind the 'Beyond the Castle' project. Or, if you're more interested in Politics and Current Affairs, join a discussion on Brexit or find out more about Civil Courage.

Looking to the future, we have some amazing technology on our Tech Trail, including a flood simulator, 3D printing and a Formula 1-style car built (and raced) by our students.

Younger guests can find out which Lancaster University college they belong to, join our Teddy Bears’ Picnic or join us on a Bonington Bear Hunt. Find out more at our Events for Children page.

We look forward to seeing you there!
