The Department of Linguistics and English Language is organizing free webinars aimed at Year 10 to 11 students but also of interest to A Level students.
Each webinar will feature two taster lectures, information about studying linguistics and/or English language at university and an introduction to the Lancaster Access Programme.
We believe that they are a great opportunity for your students to learn more about language and about studying it at university.
On 8th December join Dr Claire Hardaker to learn about "Forensic linguistics".
The session will cover:
- What can you do with a linguistics and/or English language degree afterward?
- Dr Daniel Van Olmen: English grammar versus the world’s languages
- Introduction to the Lancaster Access Programme
TW: References to real-life murder cases are included in this webinar.
