Our Online Summer School offers Year 12 students from widening participation backgrounds the opportunity to take part in a variety of live sessions and independent study to experience and academic subject at University level alongside a range of exciting social experiences.

The Online Summer School provides a fantastic chance to experience university study and develop important skills to assist in both your current and future studies. You will have the chance to take part in live subject lectures with Q&A sessions, a subject seminar, guided and independent study and also experience sutdent life through a range of activities and a live campus tour.

What subjects are offered in the Summer School?

In 2021 we will offer a range of subject strands to participate in, these include:

• Faculty of Science and Technology - Maths, Physics, Lancaster Environment Centre, Psychology and Computer Science
• Faculty of Health and Medicine - Biomedicine
• Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences - Architecture, PPR (Politics, Philosophy & Religion), Social Sciences (Sociology, Media & Cultural Studies and Social Work), Criminology, History, European Languages & Cultures and English Literature and Creative Writing
• Lancaster University Mangement School - Marketing, Management, Economics and Organisation & Work Technology

Who can take part in the Summer School?

The Summer School is open to UK students in Year 12 or equivalent who are interesting in progressing to university. To be eligible students need to meet our widening participation criteria and academic requirements. Full details are available on our website.

Applications are now open via our website. A short form will gather the required information and we will also contact your parent/guardians and teachers to confirm your participation.
