A collaboration between the Department of Sociology and The Law School.

Dr Catherine Easton, Professor Corinne May-Chahal, and Dr Luke Moffat engage in a conversation about what role social sciences can play in contributing towards the development of more secure, more ethical, and more inclusive digital technologies.

This will include addressing questions such as: how can legal scholars and sociologists work with other disciplines to contribute towards the development of more secure, more ethical digital technologies? Are existing social scientific methods still fit for purpose?

As part of this conversation, the panel will draw on insights from two research projects: Trustworthy Autonomous Systems in Security (TAS-S) and isITethical.
