Experimentality: The Exhibition

7 July, 2010 - 15 July, 2010

Peter Scott Gallery, Lancaster University

In this exhibition, artists responded in strikingly different ways to the themes that were explored in the Experimentality programme. Some artworks explored how experimentation blurs the boundary between truth and deception, and between enlightenment and cruelty, in disturbing ways. Others took the processes and products of scientific inquiry as the starting point for their own investigation into the curious inner landscapes of organisms, objects and places. Yet others documented time-based art performances which take the products of technoscientific innovation for a walk, revealing hidden new possibilities.

The exhibition included works by Sarah Casey, Rod Dickinson, John Fox, K Bear Koss, John Newling, Jane Rushton, Jen Southern, and Neal White.
