There's no shortage of student accommodation in Lancaster, from traditional terraced housing to modern apartment blocks, halls of residence in the city to those on campus itself. And there are ever more developments opening each year. It's important that you take the time to find out what's available and make the best decision for yourself - there's no rush.
Lancaster University Homes is our own accreditation scheme that groups together the best of what's out there and presents it to you in one package. You can be sure that all properties included on the scheme have been inspected by us, that all safety certificates are in place and have been checked at the time of accreditation and advertising, any deposits are held in a tenancy deposit scheme and the landlord has signed up to our student-friendly code of practice. Put simply, it's the only place to find triple-accredited student accommodation approved by both of Lancaster's universities and the City Council.
On Thursday 23 November the annual Housing Fair will take place for Lancaster University students in the Great Hall. Come along and meet some of our landlords, talk to them and arrange to view their properties, pick up freebies and then make an informed decision about where you want to live next year. There will also be exhibitors representing all aspects of student accommodation in Lancaster, from the City Council and Visit Lancaster, to Lancashire Constabulary and the Fire and Rescue Service, to the Students' Union Advice Centre - AND there will be free hot food!
Drop in when you're available any time between 12 noon and 4pm.
