On Friday 14th September the South Spine will re-open.
From Thursday 23rd August, access to Great Hall Square will be closed for three weeks between Bowland Annex and Ash House.
The ramp adjacent to the pond in Engineering Square is open meaning that a fully accessible Spine route is now available South of Furness College.
The works between FASS and Bowland North are now complete and the North Spine is now open from Great Hall Court, through to Alexandra Square.
Finishing works to the canopy between FASS and Bowland North will see the Spine close for three weeks.
The works along the South Spine have progressed ahead of schedule along Fylde and the Science and Technology building. The steel supports are being installed and the contractors are now preparing for the next phase of works.
As planned, the North Spine closure on Tuesday 12th June has seen diversions around FASS revert to former routes.
From Wednesday 6th June until Tuesday 12th June, the North Spine will reopen between FASS and Bowland North on a temporary basis whilst paving works are carried out to the pathway and steps leading to the Chemistry building.
Changes to the accessible route on the spine near Engineering Square will commence from Monday 4th June.
Over the next 4-6 weeks, a series of phased works will be carried out to the South Spine between the Science and Technology building and Engineering building.
