Our excellent campus accommodation has been recognised yet again with Lancaster receiving four nominations in the National Student Housing Awards.

County Townhouses received the ‘Best University Halls of Residence 2017’ award as well as the ‘Best Individual Accommodation’ award, whilst Grizedale Townhouses received ‘Best Learning Environment’ award and ‘International Accommodation Quality Mark’.

Over 30,000 students vote in The National Student Housing Awards (NSHA), which aim to measure satisfaction levels in all types of accommodation.

This is now the seventh time Lancaster has earned the title of ‘Best University Halls’ since first entering the survey in 2010. The University is one of just four higher education providers to have gained the International Accommodation Quality Mark, which recognises organisations achieving at least 90 percent satisfaction among international students.

Mark Swindlehurst, Director of Facilities, congratulated the team;

“I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to all of those involved and for once again ‘Raising the Bar’ in relation to the student experience. To achieve this award for the seventh time is an accolade to everyone involved and to be accredited with the International Accommodation Quality Mark for the last six years is testament to the commitment of our staff here at the University. Thank you for your hard work and dedication in achieving this outstanding result.”

This is a fantastic achievement and is a testament to the incredible hard work, effort and teamwork put in by staff throughout the year.
