For the fourth consecutive year, the Facilities Team have been awarded a RoSPA Gold Award for Health & Safety.

Awarded by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in recognition of the continuing hard work, time and effort that the Facilities Team have dedicated to creating a successful occupational health and safety culture, the 600 strong team across Lancaster University's Facilities Division have bagged a fourth successive RoSPA Gold Award for Health & Safety.

Alastair Brock, Facilities Safety and Compliance Manager says "The team have done, and continue to do, a fantastic job in keeping students, staff and visitors safe and healthy during their time at the University. Staff across the division hold Health and Safety as a top priority and this award is fantastic recognition of the efforts of all staff involved." 

Through the RoSPA Awards scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants' overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
