Work to start on hedgerow removal
Works are currently being undertaken to the central reservation along the Main Drive of the University in order to improve the long term overall standard of maintenance to the area.
We are aware that there are concerns over the use of netting to a hedgerow which was installed in advance of the new junction to the Health Innovation Campus being created from the A6. We are looking into the condition of the netting as a priority and ensuring any holes are repaired.
Resurfacing works to the rear of University House, adjacent to the Base and Disability Services are scheduled to recommence over the weekend of 6th - 7th April.
The main entrance to InfoLab will close from Tuesday 23rd April whilst replacement doors are installed. The building will remain open with a temporary diversion in place until the 6th May.
New services will be installed to provide utilities and data to the new Health Innovation Campus (HIC) between 18th February - Mid-June 2019.
Surface repair works will improve accessibility between Fylde Quad and Fylde Accommodation as the first phase of Accessible Campus comes to an end.
In January 2018, Lancaster University undertook a series of comprehensive accessibility audits to be able to report on where important improvements could be made to accessibility on campus.
From Monday 28th January, a refurbishment to the vacant guest accommodation will start on site.
The Underpass will close between 7am and 4pm on Saturday 5th January to allow for the installation of replacement lighting in the tunnel.
