Bigforth Drive Kerb Replacement and Resurfacing
In July and August 2014 Bigforth Drive - the main drive to Lancaster University - was resurfaced and all kerb stones were replaced. This maintenance took place to improve the University entrance and increase cyclist safety.
The Base & Careers, University House
The Base/Careers has been refurbished to provide a one-stop-shop for all student services. The space has been upgraded to provide seven consultation rooms, an open plan meeting area, meeting room, resource area and seating to enable careers workshops to take place. The scheme has also improved access by providing a new entrance on Alexandra Square. Work started in June 2012 and completed in early September.
County South Kitchen
Extension and refurbishment of the kitchen facilities in County South to improve the food and drink offering. The project was completed in January 2012.
High Voltage Infrastructure
A project to increase the electricity capacity to the University campus. New cables have been laid from the substation along Green Lane, in front of the hotel towards Alexandra Park Drive.
