Ash House Refurbishment
Work on the refurbishment of Ash House completed in September 2015 and now provides 98 additional high quality, value for money bed spaces in the previously unoccupied Ash House building at the north of campus.
The ground floor of the building provides computer labs configured for teaching and study. On the first, second and third floors new partition walls and doors form shared kitchen, toilet and shower rooms within flats.
Each bedroom has new built-in desks, wardrobes, bookcases and sinks. The kitchens are fitted out with new modern built-in cupboards, counters, cooking appliances and sinks, as well as new kitchen appliances and dining furniture. The new interior design brings a contemporary, homely feel to the communal areas.
As with all of the University's refurbishment projects, this project is aiming to achieve the environmental performance measure BREEAM very good.
