The University has invested in new signage and maps to improve wayfinding across campus.
A specialist signage contractor was appointed to install new external signage to improve the way in which visitors, staff and students navigate their way around campus.
Using detailed feedback from a number of focus groups, the Estates Development team worked with wayfinding specialists to develop a new, easy to use, campus map and external signage strategy. The scope of the project included the replacement of boundary signage, highways signage and all external signage around campus.
The phased scope of works included:
Phase 1: Welcome gateway and boundary signs installation
Phase 2: South West campus external signage installation
Phase 3: Highways signage installation
Phase 4: North and South campus external signage installation in co-ordination with the Spine Remodelling Project
