On Sunday the 4th March, the entrance to the North Spine from Alexandra Square will closed for one day to allow contractors to work on the canopy above
Between Thursday 15th February and Friday 20th April, contractors for the Spine Remodelling Project will re-visit the area outside The Great Hall, known as Great Hall Square, to commence further improvement works to the paving in the area.
Contractors for the Spine Remodelling Project are progressing works along the South Spine in a series of phases over the next 5-6 weeks.
On Monday 5th February, works will commence to remove concrete lintels from both sides of the South Spine in preparation to install the new canopy as part of the Spine Remodelling Project.
Works along the North Spine will take place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st January, which require closures in two key areas in order to lay paving and continue the installation of canopy in the area.
The North Spine has opened to its former state following a series of works over Christmas vacation.

A section of canopy has been installed on the South Spine approach from Fylde College.
From Saturday 11th November weekend works have been scheduled which will allow contractors to complete the temporary surface works and to prepare for the installation of steel supports along the North Spine between Santander and the Learning Zone.
From Saturday 4th November, a section of building works located at the mouth of the North Spine will move to the opposite side of the pathway outside Santander.
