The Spine will close in the next couple of weeks between S&T and LUMS to allow contractors to complete works to the canopy and paving.
New handrails will be installed in Great Hall Court between Monday 14th May and Monday 28th May.
The mouth of the North Spine will close over the weekend to allow contractors to work on the canopy above. During the works, a diverted route will be signposted through the Learning Zone in to Bowland Quad. The cut-through adjacent to Blackwell’s Bookshop is open and leads to the North Spine.
From Tuesday 1st May until Friday 18th May, changes will be taking place to the Spine works around the Faraday Complex and Physics Garden.
The redevelopment phase of the Spine Remodelling Project has been underway since August 2016 and has so far seen the introduction of Great Hall Square, Great Hall Courtyard and Physics Garden in the North of Campus and Furness College Court in the South.
Furness College entrance from the Spine is now closed for 7 weeks while contractors conduct works to the canopy.
From Monday 16th April, the Mouth of the North Spine will close between Santander and the Learning Zone to allow contractors to work safely on the canopy above.
From Thursday 29th March, further closures along the North Spine will be implemented opposite the Faraday Complex and Physics Garden.
On Sunday the 4th March, the entrance to the North Spine from Alexandra Square will closed for one day to allow contractors to work on the canopy above
Between Thursday 15th February and Friday 20th April, contractors for the Spine Remodelling Project will re-visit the area outside The Great Hall, known as Great Hall Square, to commence further improvement works to the paving in the area.
