The University is investing in new signage and maps to improve wayfinding across campus.
A specialist signage contractor has been appointed, and in the next few weeks new external signage will be installed across campus. This will improve the way in which visitors, staff and students navigate their way around campus.
Using detailed feedback from a number of focus groups, the Estates Development team have worked with wayfinding specialists to develop a new, easy to use, campus map and external signage strategy. The scope of the project includeds the replacement of boundary signage, highways signage and all external signage around campus. The installation of new signage is set to commence this summer.
The phased scope of works include:
Phase 1: Welcome gateway and boundary signs installation
Phase 2: South West campus external signage installation
Phase 3: Highways signage installation
Phase 4: North and South campus external signage installation in co-ordination with the Spine Remodelling Project
