Cardiovascular accidents (CVAs)

A hemorrhage or thrombosis involving the arteries that supply the heart; a ‘heart attack’.  Risk factors associated with CVAs include smoking, ‘bad’ cholesterol (LDL-cholesterol), but not ‘good’ cholesterol (HDL-cholesterol), and high blood pressure.
