Cluster reduction

Posted byBrian Hopkins May 22, 2019

A phonological pattern of deletion of one or more elements in a consonant cluster as in ‘tick’ for ‘stick’.  A feature used when children do yet have complete master mastery over the pronunciation of words.  If it persists, it can become a speech difficulty in children.
