Workshop: Authors, Celebrity, Distance, and TwitterDate: 12 March 2015 Time: 9.00 am - 12.00 Venue: Lancaster House conference centre With Greg Myers (Department of Linguistics and English Language) This workshop forms part of the third Authors and the World research event (www.authorsandtheworld.com)and will discuss some to the techniques used by well-known authors (e.g. @MargaretAtwoodon and @tejucole) to construct and engage with a specific audience on Twitter. The workshop requires participants to use their own laptops, phones, and tablets to complete a structured exercise exploring other authors on Twitter. Free - all students welcome.
