Mexico-based documentary maker Nicolas Défossé and photographer Adolfo López Magaña visit Lancaster

Mexico-based documentary maker Nicolas Défossé and photographer Adolfo López Magaña visited the Department of European Languages and Cultures and Dukes Cinema at Lancaster on 3rd May, to participate in a series of events on media, art and cultural production. Throughout the day, the exhibition 'La otra mirada' was on display first at DELC and then at the Dukes. Défossé and López Magaña participated in a one-hour event with students at Lancaster. In the evening, Défossé's most recent documentary ¡Viva México! was screened at the Dukes, followed by a round table debate on 'Media, Community and Social Movements'. Participants included Défossé, Lopez, the writer and producer Bob Dickinson, David Kay from Under the Pavement Radio Show in Manchester, Allyson Fiddler (DELC), Oscar Forero (Cesagen), and Amit Thakkar (DELC). The visit was organized by Cornelia Gräbner from DELC.
