Warning: Undefined array key 1 in /export/depts/php/fass/news/shownews-include.php on line 11 Warning: Undefined array key 2 in /export/depts/php/fass/news/shownews-include.php on line 11 Lancaster University Modern Languages Schools Essay Prize 2014Date: 29 July 2014 Schools are invited to hold an essay competition for their Modern Languages A-level students and to submit one essay for consideration for the Lancaster University Modern Languages Schools Essay Prize. The topic for this year is 'Foreign Cultures', which students may interpret as freely as they wish. Essays should be written in French, German or Spanish. Essays should be no longer than 500 words long and should include a bibliography (not included in the word count). The student's name and school should be clearly indicated at the top of the essay. The essay selected by each school should be typed up in a Word document and submitted by e-mail to the Essay Prize Administrator Dr Charlotte Baker: languagesessayprize@lancaster.ac.uk. The deadline for receipt of essays is 5 pm on Friday 5 December 2014. A prize of £100 will be awarded to the best essay, judged by a panel of academics from the Department of European Languages and Cultures. Please note:
